Animal ID: 5555Sombi (female)

Tibetan Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sombi came all the way from Serbia. We did DNA test on her and her mix is crossed breed jackrussle terrier and tibetian terrier. She is about 3 to 4 years old. Her energy is low so she would be a perfect dog for retired couple. She loves quiet environment where she can get all attention and cuddles in the world. She tolerates my 3 year old but as soon as he gets loud and overwhelming she feels uncomfortable and runs away so I believe that families with older children 13 and up would be best for her. She is about 20LB and knee height. When she was found as a puppy she had a broken leg due to being hit by the car. She was rescued from a busy ... (Read More)intersection on a snowy day by a good person that literally saved her life. She never had a surgery done so her front leg grew wrong but that does not stop her from running or jumping super high to give you kisses. According to my vet it should not be operated on unless it becomes painful for her to walk on. Since the injury was at such a young age my vet believes that it should never become a problem. Sombi has been in a boarding facility in Eastern Europe since she was only few months old until she came to America. She is fully vetted and on heartworm and flea prevention. She is potty trained 95% and does not bark very often. She loves to cuddle and gives kisses. She gets along with other dogs and cats but she does not mind being the only animal in the family. Sombi is trully a great dog and is looking for sombody who would give her forever home and never let her go. She deserves that after all she has been through. Sombi is available for adoption in all the states. Currently she is located in Mississippi. We can arrange transport by plane or ground. Sombi is falling under Smiths Den Dog Rescue and her adoption fee will go toward another dog in need that is located in Serbia or state side. Transport fee will be added to adoption fee if adopter is located outside of the state. Adopter is more than welcome to come and get her if distance is not an issue. (Less)

The Tibetan Terrier is not a Terrier; it just sort of looks like one. Tibetan Terriers have unique broad feet with hair between the toes. They are the only breed of dog with this feature. The unusual feet of the Tibetan Terrier act as natural snow shoes.
